Midnight Library Cover

While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? After trying to commit suicide, Nora finds herself in a library able to choose books that show her what her life could have been in other dimensions.

I really wanted to like this book more. The premise can be compared to a Wonderful Life or Scrooge...but instead of being just a story with an underlying meaning - it starts to narrate like a self-help book.

I also think I didn't get as much out of it as other readers since I have already passed the "what if" stage of my life. Most of what it talks about, I have already learned. If you are someone struggling with how your life is going and filled with regrets of past decisions, I would recommend it to read. It is a good story and meaningful, but it would resonate more with someone needing to hear the message than it did for me.
