Welcome to Jill & Jackets

If you are here to buy a warm winter coat, you are in the wrong place. Jackets refers to book jackets (and my name's sake nursery rhyme). Get it? Yeah, corny. I'm not sure if I like it as much as I did while I was sipping wine and delirious from suggesting dozens of other ideas - most already taken. So, Jill & Jackets it is for now. Changing it will take too much work so hopefully it grows on me...and you.

I am a married, middle aged, full time working mom of two boys who loves to read. I love to read - not the boys. They only read the back of baseball cards. My day job isn't digging ditches, but I would love to get into the book industry. However, giving up a good paying career to open a bookstore or be an editor's intern wouldn't be the smartest thing to do while supporting a family. So, I decided to do the next best thing - become a book influencer. And now you get the privilege of watching this old gal try to navigate social media outside of Facebook. It won't be pretty but hopefully it will be entertaining.

I created this site and my corresponding social media accounts as a way to share my opinions on the books I have read and hopefully add them to your TBR list. And maybe, just maybe with enough followers and you guys using my affiliate links to buy books, I will make enough to splurge on Fabletics yoga pants one day instead of the Target brand.
